Meet Denise

Denise has been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) for 35 years. For the past 18 years she has focused on Ketogenic Medical Nutrition Therapy and over the past several years she has been privileged to be involved in the mental health movement by collaborating with Metabolic Mind.

She has trained and educated professionals and individuals around the globe on therapeutic ketogenic diets. She strives to provide client-centered, personalized therapy, counseling, and education.

Denise has a passion for helping underserved populations benefit from the ketogenic diet, which is one of the motivators behind the AKT Keto Community. She authored The Migraine Diet: A Ketogenic Meal Plan for Headache Relief.

Denise lives in Michigan with her favorite husband of 35 years, Terry, and has 4 amazing adult children.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the membership launch?

The membership went live on February 8, 2025 to founding members only.  In June it will open for everyone.

Can you tell me more about live events?

All live events will be recorded and accessible within a few hours for your convenience. Events include Q&A sessions, expert-led teachings and discussions, cooking demos, and engaging journal/book clubs. Submit your questions in advance or participate via live chat during the event!

How do I track my progress?

You can track your progress by monitoring your ketone levels, weight, and overall health improvements. We also encourage sharing your experiences and milestones with the community to stay motivated!

Does this replace individual consults with dietitians and doctors?

Absolutely not! Anyone with a medical condition should consult with their physician before embarking on ketogenic therapy...and work with an RDN (Registered Dietitian Nutritionist) to refine their diet, and review supplements and lab work.

What kind of support does the community provide?

The AKT Keto Community offers daily support through discussions, live events, and expert advice. You can ask questions, share your challenges, and get helpful tips from fellow members and experienced Registered Dietitian Nutritionists.

Can I join the community if I'm new to keto?

Absolutely! Our community supports members at all stages, whether you're just starting or you've been on keto for years. You'll find helpful resources, tips, and encouragement from others who understand the journey.
